Agree, 50' is very borderline to get sparkle-free 1080p even with a thicker-gauge cable. I would ask Monoprice, they usually have the answer.
One thing that is different is you usually put the HDMI "repeater" (it's not so much a booster amp, per se) at the far end of a cable section. Then extend the HDMI cable past that to your display. Problem is, you won't know if you'll need the repeater after 30' or 40' or whatever, Monoprice will know.
I guess if they sell the 50' cables then *some* devices are good with them, but many people who use long cables are using a 720p projector and that is a fair bit less fussy than 1080p. Plus other even less-demanding apps. If it was mine, I'd not expect to go much past 30' without regenerating the HDMI signals, 10m (~33') is the farthest I've gone.
