I have a 2005 SXRD from Sony. A model famous for the green blob issue. I didn't get it for a long time, and actually defended Sony because of that. I was in turn, labeled as a Sony Shill. Needless to say, fate about 1 1/2 years, I got it too. After much denying, and several class action lawsuits, Sony agreed to have ALL of the light engines changed at their cost.
Several years later, they got out of the LCOS biz.
