I just browsed the foreign film section at my local Borders (books/music/film) and did not see any version of Sanshiro Sugata. The judo angle provided the original interest to me. It seems somewhat unique as a support vehicle. I will investigate further.

The other films you and Victor have been discussing were available. Thank you both for introducing them to me. Soon, I will have new additions to my limited library.
