Forget Jar-Jar & the gang, in September Serenity is going to kick some serious booty:
Follow Ups:
Firefly carried the same essence that made Star Wars(IV)good.
Sorely missed since cancellation.Appears Ron Glass'/Shepherd Book is the only MIA for big screen.Hope it measures up to the series.
The space western rides again.
I don't know what happens to most directors/actors/whomever, once they hit it big, that part of their brain that puts a check on stupid ideas gets broken, maybe crushed against the inside of the skull by thei balooning ego.Lucas's first films:
Shorts - I've heard they are pretty interesting
THX1138 - Pretty good
American Grafitti - Great
Star Wars Series - Really good, and a commercial blockbuster
Indiana Jones (cowritten by) - Really good, again, blockbuster
Star wars christmas special (written by) - Oh dear
Captain EO (Disney movie) - Uh-oh
Willow (Written by) - Argh
Howard the Duck (Producer) - WTF is that? Did he actually watch it before allowing it to be released?
Radioland Murders (Written/Produced) - Mediocre
Tucker (Produced) - OK, that one isn't badStar Wars Phantom Menace - Unf, way to ruin a series, Mr. Lucas
Pretend you are George Lucas, and you can make any movie you want, on any subject. You can buy the rights to any piece of fiction out there, and you have money for 20 lifetimes, and you do not need more. You can hire the best screenwriters. Assume you have read stories, treatments, etc., with grand themes and the potential for innovative film making. So, what do you want to do George, the world is yours? "Uh, how about Star Wars Part XII"?
Funny stuff!!
