...disclaimer - this is not a 'great' film nor one which will be long remembered by any means. But if you're a fan of the 'action film genre', whatever that is these days, I highly recommend it.I just heard on the radio that this film was number one at the box office and broke some Labor Day weekend record. I saw it last night and it's the most fun I've had at the movies since 'Wedding Crashers'.
Action movies have become so unbelievable with their wild car chase scenes, unbelievable stunts, fights where the hero takes on 10 kung fu experts, and the all the rest. So this film does them all one better and makes them VERY outrageous - not only unbelievable, but impossible, violating just about every law of physics along the way. You not only have to 'suspend belief', it helps to leave your belief at home. While the hero does it all with a straight face, it's a real hoot.
Follow Ups:
after they got to the house and Jason started trying to actually speak a few sentences. When I woke up, nothing had improved so I baled. Boom, boom, bang pretty much summed it up.
I don't understand why he refuses to start a relationship with the client's wife (separated) in this one because of his dangerous profession, while he had no problems getting involved romantically with the daughter of his nemesis in the first Transporter. Oh, that's right, I need to suspend my belief. And the boy needs his father. If you think this action is outrageous, see "Ong Bak." No wires, no air springs, no CGI, just incredible athleticism and stunt people with the highest pain tolerances.
Maybe he learned his lesson about getting involved after doing so in the first one...
...you have after watching this movie - you weren't paying attention!
That was an interesting movie. A bit slow in the beginning.
As you said, no wires, no CGI, and no stunt doubles. Not much of a plot, but killer fight scenes.

Seperated does not mean divorced, remember? It was fun watching an action hero with a near cockney accent, though.
Impeccable wardrobe and car, has a French male friend in his house that cooks for him,...hmmm. "Metrosexual," at the least.
