In Reply to: Do you find "Dolby Digital" misleading? posted by John C. - Aussie on February 06, 2001 at 20:10:56:
i absolutely agree. my local cable company is coming out with "dolby digital" cable. my question is how the hell it is dolby digital if there aren't any digital outputs?!!!!
Follow Ups:
My Cable Company Comcast has "digital cable", unfortunately even though there is a Dolby Digital sign on the front of the box(Motorola) there isn't a digital output,S or component video or even an analog 5.1 channel output, pretty misleading. As to J.C. Aussie's complaint about DD I agree, I was very disapointed with the Original Terminater movie in DD 1.0! What a bummer, at least the T2 movie was well done, if you like this kind of movie.

I actually got this digital cable with the "Dolby Digital" logo right on the front and... what... no digital output... how can this be. They are looking into getting terminals with S-Video and digital outputs. humm. I guess it's pro-logic for now.
