not as a Star Trek fan but standing on it's own it was well done.
I will probably get CBS All access to see the rest of the episodes.
So, their plan to troll for new customers worked on me.
First, I don't get, nor do I plan on getting, CBS Streaming service.
(Netflix and Showtime, (for Ray Donovan mostly), is all we have at the moment.
Although we are considering exchanging Netflix for Prime at some point.)
Second, I grew tired of Picard as the show went on.
(Which is funny because at first I did not like Riker, as he was too stiff. But as the shown went on a few years, he loosened up, I began to like him more.
Whereas as the show went on, Picard grew too tedious for me to watch.)
I guess I just got tired of watching "Shakespeare" in Space!
My two cents worth.
I never liked Riker. Maybe he was a good writer but a pathetic actor. But I liked Picard all the time.
Data's daughter. Very interesting development.
Cheers
Bill
The first episode was surprisingly good. I figured they might cheap out on the set design or effects but the story moved along, it leaves in cluffhanger. Stewart feels right at home again and of course he is such a good actor. It holds a lot of promise.
I like that. Brilliant idea. Promising series. Romulans.

Won't pay for CBS or Sundance, or any other Extra Streaming Service.
I'm Star-Trekked-Out...
I wish I could only pay for what I actually watch.
Then I would branch out.
Gotta get those AFL games and golf tournaments, especially The Masters.
So I watched "Picard" last week. Seemed like the writers hadn't decided which plot lines to do let alone where they'd go. Still, not too bad.

So I guess I won't be watching it either
