Trash. An exact rehash of he film before it. The camera work gives me a headache, not one tripod camera shot, every last shot, steadi-cam which makes the fight scenes incomprehensible. Who got hit? What did he hit him with? Oh, someone got hit with something in the
head? Who was that? OOO! What did he he do there? Scott Glenn looks old and tired, scary to think he is the same guy from SOTL. Damon should get that thing removed from his lip. 2 stars out of 5 since it has nice scenes of London\Waterloo station\Paris\Madrid.

It's difficult to sustain the same basic plot just by changing nemisises. It appeared it had half the budget of the first which probably accounted for the crappy look to the product.

No one expects a new plot, or even new dialogue.
The wit has dried to... whatever wit dries out to.
The Bond "girls" are a mere procession of what might have looked teasing in the early 1960s and Bond's attitudes are on a par with Homer Simpson.
But they do make money don't they?
A lot more serious with character development. Not like Moore or even Connery.
I would like to see all the books remade with a different actor being Bond each time (a'la Batman) following the actual plot in the proper time frame.

... and I thought the plot unintelligible.
The villain sold the shares which didn't fall in price so he lost the money... oh wait, he didn't lose the money so he could have just paid it back.
But apparently forgot he had it and thought a game of cards the best way out.
It makes a lot of the other seem half plausible.
Is this what we have come to? A Bond film about a game of cards.
Shame the girl realised how to work the heart machine or we could have all gone home early.
Nor would have Africa nor Venice figured into it either. Flemming's world was the 50's and early 60's until the money-machine got hold of it.

Fleming's world, or Bond's world if you prefer was a cold war world as opposed to the vague enemies/baddies in the current crop of Bond films.
They are probably closer to Greene and may now be more accurately described as historical.
I find it hard to be involved in them. JUst like the Mission Impossible films, I fail to understand why they are tagged on to this other thing which has nothing to do with them. You might just as well call them SUperman for all the connection to the original.
The franchise is fucked.
The BOOK was about a game of cards.
addictively watch and be massively entertained by cable poker...
The three films are ALL the same. So what? This is a genre, like the Bond or Indiana Jones movies. And I thought that the first chase in this one was absolutrly stunning, enhanced by the great music. I didn't go expecting Shakespeare or Kubrick.
