Well a teenager comedy...Good I am not one anymore, and what is worse it play in a country (USA) which really has this kind of institution, probably the only country in the world.
In France or Germany I can not compare it to anything.
So it was a fully missmatch, was it?
No.
First it was nicely played, fine group of young actors, then it was fair in its critic to this Catholic vision that some have over the great pond as to what a religion maybe, or look like...
A bit naive, still I had my fun.
But no comparison to Almost Famous.

Saved! Is not a film I expect to be on this forum. My wife and daughter enjoyed it. In my area of the Midwest moderates are over shadowed by the liberials and christian correct right wing. I can't drive to work without seeing Anti rally or go to a college game and hear "Thank God for W' the first world leader picked by God."
I found this theme of this film to be a pretty sincere look into the chritian correct right wing and it's message that if "God hates the same people you hate, he's a God of your of your creation." Across the pond I guess this would be a twist on Fuerbach. The acting is ok for movie I felt was more for kids and chick flick. I have a hard time with movies that go one way or another as far as a spiritual view. I feel guilty when I agree with it, as if I'm not as I should be type of thing.

I'm the one sorry for being so snoty. Sorry, that was a unkind and unwarranted thesis statement I made. It's 3 star film. I'm wrong to comment just because the subject matter isn't within my interst.

as a wheelchair bound rebel who gets a girlfriend anyway with another 'misfit', a pretty good side story I thought. Mandy Moore was quite good as well as Jena Malone. They made the best of the otherwise redundant and ordinary script IMO
