to all the other Wes Anderson movies that you did not mention which are equally smug and "clever," like "Life Aquatic," for instance? I am with you on not being on the Wes Anderson bandwagon.

As I said below, in this instance Anderson's obsessions work much better in the animated form.

I really do think Mr. Fox is very good - it's actually *witty*, as opposed to merely quirky.
