How can a tiny village have so many upper midle class murders? It must have a negative population growth.

My wife pointed out to me recently that this isn't limited to the UK.

Santa Barbara had at least one murder per week for a number of years. Cabot Cove, Maine was even worse.

The TV shows based in Las Vegas might actually reflect reality, in quantity if not in detail. Not sure...
