Neeson delivers with his Irish-accented take as Frank Drebin's son. His natural acting style fits the role quite handily as he deadpans through his lines as deftly as Leslie Nielsen. Seeing this revival calls into question how any of the actors kept a straight face. But they do! The very first scene has a plot device that will go over the heads of half the mainstream audience. Careful. Don't forget, this is a goofy, fun, summer movie, not an Oscar-chaser. If 'Hamlet' is your kind of entertainment you might select another film to see. |
