God help me, I saw the Dirty Harry vehicle, "The Dead Pool."

Worth it for students of film, I guess, to see an almost panic-stricken, very very young looking Liam Neeson try and hold his own in his scenes vs Eastwood. Also, the price-of-admission is worth it just to see a star-making turn by Jim Carrey--- playing a strung out junkie rock star: his performance of a Guns n' Roses song is pure genius.

The de rigeur car chase is refreshingly original--- but parody kind of ruins the tension. Of course, at this point in that franchise, it was all parody...

Think of it as an allegory: Dirty Harry as the vaccine trying to rid society of the murderous plague.
