Jo (Ronan) was nominated for Supporting Actress when she was a child. She is destined for big things, IMO. I found the time changes a bit awkward at first, also. I think Gerwig did a great job of "updating" the story to a more modern pace. I was expecting another classic presentation but this film is a refreshing in all facets.
