A young lower class Scranton quarterback (Brendan Frazier) is recruted in his senior year by an elite Massachusetts prep school whose well heeled alumini want to reverse the losing trend of their football team. David Green is Jewish, a fact he conceals form everyone at the school. His friend and rival is Matt Damon and Damon loses out as starting quarterback and is further under the gun by his snobby family, who lauds his all-American older brother, a former graduate. Everyone in the senior class expects to get into an Ivy League college. Damon cracks after he finds out Frazier's true identity, and betrays him in a partciularly cruel manner. Will Frasier be expelled? A good outing for both, with a romance slong the way with a girl both love. The film is set in (I think) 1953 and the cars and costuming are dead on.
