Home Films/DVD Asylum

Movies from comedy to drama to your favorite Hollyweird Star.

An overblown, Hollywood-ish film bull of clichés. Yes, there was

clever repartee written for Sarandon and Jones.
But there were those careful little depth-charges throughout (the package...) you just knew were going to explode sometime.
Actually, this film recalled some which were far superior. That Guantanamo film with Nicholson, Cruise, and Demi, for instance or that other one with Meg Ryan, Denzel, and a couple of other good actors.
War, yes, is murky but it doesn't follow that films about it should be.
Compared to "The Kingdom" this is terrific. In wider context, however, this is about 2 and 1/2 stars.
