Sex and the City

My wife rarely watches movies with me, so when she asked to watch this with me on the weekend I figured why not. A friend of hers thought it good enough to buy, so loaned it to her.
To start, it pretty much follows the series of which I've never seen an episode. I had been told that you didn't need to be a TV viewer, that the movie overcame that. I disagree. Every character had a pre-existing relationship and personality that I had no clue about.
Putting that aside (which is not easy), I'd give the movie a 2 1/2 - 3 out of 5. IMO there were 2-3 good parts (the dog was cute, the brunette was cute and it was pretty funny when she pooped herself). Apart from that I felt as if I were just watching a year end special episode of a show I never watch. It "felt" like a TV show, not a movie.
Now, nobody call me a girly man or else.... :)
