Well, I'm not sure this was the right way to tell the story but even Swank is Miss Universe compared to the real Amelia. It's hard to believe that two guys wanted her so badly, especially with her fooked up mannerisms and personality.

Yeah, it was a bit overwrought because there wasn't really much to her story. I was surprised to learn that her first trans Atlantic flight was done with her as a passenger, her future husband just publicized the event as if she was the pilot. And, it was neat to find out her one case of adultery was with Gore Vidal's daddy. Outside of that, it was a story that was drawn out with the usual manufactured drama.

You could wait for the DVD or you could burn a bargain matinee. (And please, nobody say Swank deserves a third Oscar for playing a woman of suspect sexuality.)
