This is a modern tale of a thousand year old society of assassins for pay. The society is divided into different "tribes" and they routinely kidnap children, mostly orphans, at a young age and put them through years of tortuous, grueling training.
We have an attractive black woman who works with "Europol" who has become obsessed with the Ninja Assassins folklore. Oddly, bank records and recent political assassinations correspond to the cash cost of 100 pounds of gold.
Suddenly, the Europol woman is in the middle of a plot to clean up attempts to expose the tribes and there is the one defector who helps to keep her alive until they can defeat evil forces at hand.
This is where the choreographed combat becomes mind boggling along with all the gushing and splattering blood. A clean sword stab produces a geyser of blood 3 to 4 feet in the air! Great stuff if you're twelve.
Lots of bloody action, cart wheels, and bisected bodies and limbs. Great mindless entertainment if your not the queasy type.
