"In Search of Beethoven:" by Grabsky, the director of the

Mozart documentary.
Very well done, though a bit predictable and by-the-numbers, musical biography of the irascible genius. Unless you're a musicologist, you'll learn plenty about the man and his music, as well as see the places he lived and roamed. Roger Norrington and a host of other accomplished and excellent musicians and historians keep the facts and analysis coming at a faster-than-a-dumbed-down-tv-program pace.
This certainly made me happy I went through the effort to set my Kuro up with my good 2-channel system--- the selection of music and the recording quality is first-rate.
