"Machine Gun Preacher." Terrifying. Upsetting. Game changing?

It's hard to watch this slightly fictionalized bio of a biker-turned-preacher and not be moved by the plight of the Sudanese kids like the main character was. Suddenly, all you think is important in your life may just appear "VANITY."
This film is way more than entertainment, though it held our interest as a dramatic effort. Butler was good as the man who skipped the NT (the "love your neighbor" part, anyway), but strongly embraced the John the Baptist approach: he didn't hesitate to pick up an automatic weapon to protect an endangered child. (The film chronicles the plight of the Sudanese, especially women and children who frequently were massacred as they fled or as they gathered in shelters, fleeing from the religious wars that grip their troubled country).
