I think it's a great movie. Natural performances, camera work is well framed. The battle scenes are relentless, beautifully staged. The scene in the church/hospital is very moving. I could watch this one, over and over. I can think of only a few war based films that have so strong an effect on me. I just got the Masters of Cinema Blu-Ray. Beautiful print, but I'd like to see it in a real movie theater. FYI...I watched the film, and then rushed to the film asylum to see if anyone had left a comment. I'm glad there was a post, and also glad to agree with your review, Tin. Regards
