I don't think that the "perfect" DVD player exists. You sort of have to decide which is most important to you, sound quality or picture quality.
The chroma bug seems to be a very personal issue with some people far more sensitive to it than others.
The SD9200 was a Stereophile recommended component, so for audio quality it is a good choice.
Depending on your budget, you might want to look at the new (yet to be released) Denon DVD3800 and DVD9000. The specs look good but no one has had a chance to try them out yet. The 2800 really isn't in the same league.
