Home Video Asylum

TVs, VCRs, DVD players, Home Theater systems and more.

No acting, no script, but it does look damn good!

Watched it yesterday, virtually flawless image, though slightly soft. I thought Epsisode I was the most stunted performance I'd ever seen, Episode II sets a new low standard. Thank goodness for the animated characters! I think George Lucas secretly hates humans, and wants to make them look bad. And what's his continual fascination with pointy spaceships going into long dark tunnels (I know what Freud would say)? Also, a new plot would be nice after so many episodes. We are suckers for buying this stuff, but IMO it is among the reference DVD's.

For something different in a reference DVD, try the Canadian version of The Brotherhood of the Wolf for the (French) dts sound, and the American version for the picture.
