Axiom Audio makes some great speakers. A friend has a complete 5.1 setup from them and it sounds great for a great price!

You could try Outlaw audio for their receiver (that's that he has). I have a Denon which is very nice. Not to keen on Sony receivers, but their DVD players and TVs are great.
