Thanks for your responses. My outboard amp is THX certified. It's a Madrigal Citation 4 channel at 150 wpc. The A/V receiver is a Sony 110 watts times 7. It is not THX certified. If I use the Citation amp, which is certified THX, into the Sony. It will be like a preamp. Will the audio coming out of the receiver, pass through THX audio from the Citation? This is what I want to know. Will I notice any difference in sound using the Citation 150 wpc thru the surrounds over using the 110 wpc Sony thru the surrounds? Does this make any sense? Cuz I'm getting confused writing this.
