Re: Component Vs S-video

I was recently at a store where they had a 42" Panasonic ED plasma on spit-screen with a component input on one side and an S-video feed on the other. The side with the S-video feed looked awful compared to the extremely bright, colourful component side. However, I use a Tributaries S-video cable between my Pioneer 47Ai DVD player and my 27" Panasonic GAOO TV, and the picture is great. I can only conclude from this that it must have something to do with the resolution of the respective sets.
