I ordered one, but the supplier was very slow delivering and when it finally turned up they would not permit an audition so I cancelled.
I notice there is some contraversy over various "bugs" in the player (do a search on AVA) and not exactly the same Q50 appears in every country. But it is getting a pretty positive response on video. I have seen no comments on its CD capabilities but Philips products are usually above average in the audio department.
Bottom line, it does appear to be one of the best value DVD players around. Give us a review if you end up auditioning and/or buying one.
