Receiver shutting off

Can anyone explain why my relatively new Marantz SR7000 receiver is now shutting itself off after about 5 minutes after I turn it on?
It's not the sleep mode, and I'm not overpowering it (it's being played at a low volume), so I am at a loss. Have not touched the wires or hardware at all - and has worked great for about 1 month.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
