Are you sure? I've read that DVI and HDMI offer the same picture quality. The only real advantage of HDMI is that it includes the digital audio signal.... and in most cases you don't need it because for a home theater setup you will run the audio from the DVD player into a processor or A/V receiver. I see HDMI as a cabling / connection convenience more than a big step up in technology for picture quality.
