Home Video Asylum

TVs, VCRs, DVD players, Home Theater systems and more.

To start....

Is it safe to assume the receiver is two channel only (doesn't even have Pro-Logic)? If it's two channels, you can't get more channels out of the receiver than it has. You could still plug the audio outs from the DVD player and get two channel movie watching.
You can use any input so long as it's not a phono input. The gain on all other inputs is usually the same; they're labelled as "tuner" or "tape 1" etc for your benefit.
You can plug the s-video from the DVD player direct into the TV/PJ what-have-you.
