Re: Best DirecTV receiver?

We had a top on the line Sony HD receiver and a separate Sony TiVo, so you had to choose either the convenience of TiVo or HDTV. We found that we nearly always chose TiVo. Now we have a DirectTV HR 10-250 HDTV/TiVo and couldn't be happier. It also has an HDMI output. If I have a complaint with the HR 10-250 it's that it is much slower in selecting a program to record or in managing the the programs that are rountinely recorded than the Sony.

The Sony HD receiver and TiVo are sitting on a shelf in a closet; I've been too lazy to offer them on Videogon. Neither has HDMI.
