Home Video Asylum

TVs, VCRs, DVD players, Home Theater systems and more.

It's worth it for the lossless audio which will only be available over HDMI (if that) or 5.1 analog outputs.

If I had the PS3, I'd have to take a serious look at HDMI-capable preamp/processor. There might other reasons to upgrade pre/pros but I don't want HDMI to be the only reason to upgrade. 5.1 analog outputs from the source player works nicely for me; now if I could only get one with 5.1 SOTA DACs/decoders and true balanced outputs (except it would probably be hideously expensive).
