question - using the DVD player DAC vs the HT Receivers DAC

My Onkyo DVD player has a highly acclaimed Burr Brown DAC. I have been using it's digital out, thus the DAC is being done on the receiver. Would it make sense to use the DAC on the DVD and connect via Analog cables
