I'd upgrade to the HD-A35

Due to a bug in their HDMI chips, apparently most Blu-Ray and HD DVD players weren't actually capable of outputting the lossless TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio soundtracks via HDMI, but the 3rd gen Toshibas do. There are other workarounds, like converting the tracks within the player and outputting as PCM. And none of this matters at all unless you have a very new receiver capable of decoding those new formats via HDMI.

Also, a recent ultimateavmag review of the HD-A20 says that it's 1080p output is actually fudged, and that it actually looks a bit better if set to 1080i. I can't say that I've noticed a difference yet.

I want to buy an A35, but I suppose I should get my sound system going first.
