I was in my local Walmart yesterday...

...to buy cat litter.

Just for fun, I went over to the electronics section. They had two Toshiba HD-A2s sitting on the floor (yes, on the floor, not on a shelf or display), no other HD DVD players in sight. No standalone Blu-ray players anywhere - kid working the section told me they don't stock them at that store. There were huge mountains of cheapo upconverting DVD players - kid told me those were the big sellers.

Over in the gaming section they were completely sold out of Nintendo Wiis, and they had two xBox 360s available. They had an uncountable number of 40 GB and 80 GB PS3s, and the guy working that section told me they had a lot more in the back. He said no one buys the PS3s, not even the cheapest ones with the free Spiderman 3 movie, but they can't get enough Nintendos to meet the demand.

Of course, this is just my local Walmart. No trend should be divined from this purely anecdotal information. Your mileage may vary. Contents may shift during flight. Serious side effects may occur.
