I'm looking at getting an Optoma HD70. Is there any reason I should go for a 50 inch Panasonic or Pioneer plasma instead? Does anyone have any experience with this projector or any projector that can share the pros and cons of having one with me? The projector will go in the basement so lighting isn't that big of an issue.
Also, with a projector, what is the minimum size screen that I should use for a wow effect. There's a Da-Lite Theater Lite screen which is only 80 inches but looks good for the application I need (can't mount the screen on the wall or ceiling. Is 80 inches good enough or should I go as big as possible? The HD70 projects up to 100 inches.
