Samsung widescreen crt and 1080i

Hello,
I have a Samsung TXN 3075WHF crt HD ready tv, and use a Denon DVD1600 player; the set is only used for movies from my dvd player. Since it doesn't have hdmi connections (I use the component connections with good cables) I am not able to use such players as the upscaling OPPO dvd players. But I understand there is a way to use one of their dvd players and have it upscale to 1080i via component cables (which is what my set will handle, that and progressive scan). Does anyone know how to make this work? Or am I already doing the best I can with regard to watching movies on this set?
