HDMI vs. Component

But that's exactly what I expect. On every device I've ever owned, the component output was always way brighter than HDMI/DVI output, not a little bit but a LOT.

The video transmission standards of analogue (component) and digital (HDMI/DVI) are obviously different. Once I compensate for the amount of brightness, though, digital connection usually has better PQ.
