The LG BH-100 is doing an adequate job with both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray video on my system.

I am having hiccoughs with DTS HD MA, (2-channel) TrueHD, and uncompressed PCM. Seems the player's analog outputs are causing the amp to go into "protection mode" at "almost reasonable" volume levels. I happen to like higher "unreasonable" volume levels for movie playback.

In contrast, I can get much louder using the digital audio output; but than again, I'm stuck with "plain-jane" DD/DTS on the coax link. So something's amiss...

Higher resolution movie audio tracks are definitely worth it.
