1. Yes. Vivid looks unreal to my eyes. Personally I favor a more muted balance. I also tend to back off on the color until its almost B&W, then add a few(2-4) clicks/steps of color. Skin tones is my goal, correct skin tone.
2. Not sure about that one.
3. I use the multiple pinstripe pattern to set sharpness, look at the dividing lines, back off to zero sharpness then creep up until the lines starts to breakup and look tizzy, then back off (lower) until the "tizziness" is gone. That usually sets my sharpness level very low, less than 10.
