I used Xantech hardware to control my amp, pre-amp, tuner, and cd player inside a closed entertainment cabinet with one tiny sensor for years. Never had a single problem. You'll need a module for the no. of emitters to be controlled, an emitter for each unit, a DC power supply (wall wart), and an IR sensor.
