concern about new Panny plasma

I just got a Panasonic 42 inch 700u.

I've been breaking it in (10 hrs so far) using the HD Theatre channel. They kindly don't leave a logo anywhere on the screen for too long. The set looks brilliant, even with everything at 0. It even looks better than my HD CRT it replaced.

However, on some channels and on some content, such as lower quality commercial spots shown on HD but still filling the whole screen, the two left corners or just the top corner of the screen will become discoloured as if I had a strong magnet on that side of the set. I only happens during poor video quality content or strong video signals. It does not happen on programming created originally in HD.

I would think that if my speakers are causing magnetic problems on the screen, it would happen during all content. I would also think that it would happen on the right side as well, as that speaker is even slightly closer than the left one due to the room layout. They did not cause a problem with my CRT at the same distance.

I also noticed, watching Smart Travels on my PBS station in high def (we get that in the Boston area), that each time the scene changed the blue discoloration would appear in both left corners for a second or two but would go away - as if they panel were actively corrected for magnetic issues.

help? I can't move my speakers any further away and I don't even know if that's the problem? Why does it not happen in TRUE HD content but only to upsampled or low-def?
