Blu ray does have their share of klunkers (e.g. original "Full Metal Jacket").

I found the PQ to be excellent on "Apocalypto", the "POTCs", Casino Royale", "Ratatouille" and "Deja Vu" etc... I won't claim the same for most of the 25G and 30G disks I own though "King Kong", "Troy", and "Transformers" did all right at times.

After watching a decent HD transfer, your standards for PQ will rise. I'm already wondering that some of the video "defects" (?) I find in ALL movies are more related to issues with the original master tape than compression artifacts. I'm actually paying more attention to the PQ at DLP and IMAX movie theaters in anticipation of seeing how well they transfer to HD media in the home.
