Not one of the worst I've seen

I didn't find it that bad. I've watched others like Crash that had grain. I don't find grain an appealing part of watching movies..never have. Even Pirates of the Caribbean at Worlds End had detectable grain.
Mr.Brooks was another BR that looked decent.

I don't like over etched either. I discovered recently the older Blu rays are Mpeg 2 and newer ones are Mpeg 4. I wonder if this has something to do with the differences I see from movie to movie on Blu ray?

I get about 4 BR's weekly to preview. I can't remember the names of them all.I liked the colors in Gangs of New York, not overly vivid but quite natural and vibrant on my system.
