Panasonic DMR-E100H DVD recorder/player ......

... I have the Panasonic DMR E100H in our main bedroom. The tray is now open and won't close with the commands on either the remote or the unit.

I have unplugged it from the power then reconnected it to let it do a system check but to no avail.

I can close the tray manually but it opens as soon as I let it go.

It makes no difference if a disc is loaded or not.

Ideas anyone?
