Remote for an older Onkyo

I have a nice old Onkyo TX-SV90PRO receiver and I need to find a better remote. I bought a Sony universal and it works well but it does not control the volume on my rear speakers....and Onkyo, in their infinite wisdom chose to make that a REMOTE ONLY feature (sheesh) I found the original remote but I'd rather not spend 3/4 as much for the remote as I spent on the receiver.
Really...I need to control the rears....please.
