Panasonic's usual product cycle is to annoounce in Aug, with shipping in Sept or early Oct.. having read all the discussion both pro and con on the resolution, I would bet the projector stays at 720p with a street price around 899. My hunch is that once the announcement is made you will be able to get left over AX 200 models for around $799. These are very bright units and probably a better choice than 1080p units if you have an application with ambient light. I'm running the AX 100 for the last 18 months on a matte 100 inch screen and have been quite happy with it. Its really good on presenting standard DVDs, maybe better than the 1080p units out there..I would go with a 1080p unit only if I intended to build a big Blu Ray collection, and did not intend to use the projector in situations where there was some room light.
