AVR with good digital and analogue video ?

I need an AVR that does a good job with digital video (HDMI, analogue to HDMI upconversion) and legacy analogue (LD, VCR).

I want to hook all sources to the AVR and run a single HDMI output to my TV.

I've tried a Marantz which had problems switching HDMI sources (native and upconverted) but was fine with analogue video...

And a Denon that was very good with HDMI but sucked balls with analogue video.

Does any AVR combine the best parts of the Marantz and Denon ?
