I'm happy with the Panny BD60K but haven't compared to any Sony's. I should also note that I'm not super critical on my video system. Just wanted something that gets the job done and doesn't make a lot of fan noise (like my Sony PlayStation 3 which gets rather loud with its fan). I'm setup for 2-channel only so no "surround sound" at the moment.

Oh, I've read somewhere that the higher end Panasonic DMP-BD80K is supposed to have a better audio section.
